With potential cuts to Medicaid, so much is at stake for your constituents and community, and it is important to understand the impacts before you vote. Ask your Senators to “slow the process down and not rush this through.”

Ask your Senators to “slow the process down and not rush this through.”
What's happening:
With the release of the Senate budget reconciliation proposal earlier this week, all attention has shifted to addressing key amendments related to cuts to Medicaid that are not aligned with the Byrd Rule.
Much is changing rapidly, and at this juncture, Senate leadership is working to address key provisions kicked out by the Senate Parliamentarian – so even with temporary setbacks on provider tax provisions (which is getting the most support from Republican Senators) – many harmful components remain including work reporting requirements along with other provisions that will negatively impact eligibility and enrollment in Medicaid.
Timing and State of Play:
And with so much at stake, Senate leadership continues to push ahead to meet their July 4 deadline.
Senate proceedings are chaotic at the moment so the aim is to make these next 72 hours noisy to slow down the process as much as possible to prevent swift votes
Register now to join us for the next webinar in our “Capitol Conversations” series on July 17 at 1 p.m. ET. We will be sharing the latest updates on the budget reconciliation process and the impact on Medicaid and nonprofits, as well as expert insights on pursuing federal funding opportunities.
